American Packaging Corporation (APC) is seeking a Finishing Department Support to assist daily operations in DeForest, WI. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will support equipment monitoring, follow job specifications, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while contributing to a culture of quality and teamwork at APC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations of the Finishing Department.
• Follow STOP Safety Program fundamentals and safety rules.
• Retrieve setup information and follow job jacket instructions.
• Safely monitor production machinery, quality, and waste per specifications.
• Keep work area clean and free of debris; perform cleaning/sanitation tasks.
• Complete quality checks and documentation as required.
• Participate in safety observations and meetings; adhere to plant safety rules.
• Able to work all scheduled shifts and overtime.
• Train new employees as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
