Smyth-Austin in Austin, MN is hiring a Finishing Operator for 3rd shift. You will perform finishing tasks on both manual and machine operations, inspect labels for defects, and prepare orders for shipping with proper documentation. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/bend throughout shift.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Preferred: one or more years' experience in a similar printing role.
• Plus: knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ISO quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Performing manual and machine operator tasks related to finishing operations.
• Inspecting for printing defects, requiring close attention to detail.
• Boxing completed orders produced in finishing in preparation for shipping.
• Preparing appropriate quality sign-off documentation for assigned tasks.
• Performing required preventive maintenance on assigned finishing equipment.
• Working closely with teams/departments to support workflow and continuous improvements of finishing operations.
