Job summary

LayerZero Power Systems LLC is seeking a Finishing Operator for its on-site epoxy/paint line in Aurora, OH. You will prepare, coat, cure, and inspect parts using epoxy-based coatings, ensuring quality and safety across the line.

The role requires reading work instructions, basic coating knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits and room for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial finishing, painting, epoxy coating, or manufacturing preferred.
• Basic knowledge of spray equipment, coating processes, or material handling.
• Able to read work instructions, production schedules and safety guidelines.
• Comfortable with chemicals, heat and industrial equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate epoxy or paint line equipment, including sprayers, dip tanks, curing ovens, and conveyors.
• Prepare parts for finishing by cleaning, masking, sanding, or hanging components on the line.
• Mix epoxy, paint, and coating materials according to specifications and safety requirements.
• Monitor coating thickness, color uniformity, and overall finish quality.
• Adjust spray guns, equipment settings, or line speed to achieve optimal coating results.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment, spray booths, ovens, and tools.
• Inspect finished products using visual checks and measuring tools for quality compliance.
• Document production counts, quality checks, and material usage.
• Follow safety procedures, including chemical handling and PPE.
• Identify defects and take corrective actions.
