Job summary

Sheboygan Paper Box Company is seeking a Finishing Department Lead – Gluer & Folding Carton Operations to guide a hands-on team on the 2nd shift. You will operate, set up, and maintain finishing equipment, drive quality, safety, and on-time production, and mentor operators and assistants in daily tasks.

The role requires 5 years in folding carton finishing or related manufacturing, strong leadership, and experience with gluer/finishing equipment.

Qualifications

5 years of folding carton finishing or related manufacturing experience.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot gluer/finishing equipment.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
High level of technical, problem-solving, and process-improvement ability.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft products and manufacturing/ERP systems (Encore preferred).
Safety-focused with the ability to manage production without compromising quality.

Responsibilities

Operate, set up, and maintain all Finishing Department equipment (e.g., Domino 110, Visionfold 110, Cartonpack).
Serve as working lead—run equipment while supporting daily production, safety, and quality goals.
Review job jackets/factory tickets for proper scheduling, flow, and customer specs.
Verify materials for accuracy and completeness before and after jobs.
Ensure SOPs, machine standards, and quality requirements are met to hit deadlines.
Communicate expectations clearly to operators and crews.
