Sheridan is seeking a Manufacturing Associate for Finishing/Bindery in Ohio. We train you to operate high-speed bindery equipment and work on a fast-paced production floor assembling books, catalogs, and printed materials. You’ll learn on the job and join a team focused on quality and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have basic reading, math and teamwork skills, plus reliability. High school diploma or GED is required; prior machine experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace and safety rules
• Basic math skills, add/subtract, and use a measuring device
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team

Responsibilities

• Feed books/signatures into machine
• Pack books into cartons
• Safely move materials/books to and from workstation
• Perform hand operations as required
• Work as part of a team to hit daily production goals
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a clean, organized workspace
