Job summary

FastTrack Staffing is seeking a Finishing Operator in Fruitport, MI to process castings in an automated finish cell following job-specific instructions. You will load fixtures, inspect parts, and keep production flowing.

You must read and write required paperwork, enter data into Plex, perform audits, and participate in continuous improvement while keeping a clean, safe work area in a high-heat manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Able to work in a high heat environment.
• Able to read and understand work instructions.
• Able to write and complete required paperwork and enter information into Plex system.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

• Process castings through automated finish cell per job specific work instructions.
• Load saw fixture for gating and riser removal.
• Visually inspect casting per customer requirements while maintaining production flow.
• Perform audits and gage parts when required.
• Record scrap and/or production information into Plex.
• Recommend improvements for completing tasks and/or finishing improvement.
• Maintain work area keeping it clean from sand.
• Other duties as assigned.
