Job summary

One Hat One Hand is seeking a Finisher to join our design and fabrication team in San Francisco. The role involves applying cabinet-grade spray finishes, high-quality roller finishes, and other finishes across diverse projects, requiring attention to detail and strong collaboration with peers.

The Finishing Department Manager oversees performance; candidates should be comfortable with weekends/evenings as needed and maintain inventory, safety, and quality standards throughout the finish process.

Qualifications

• Experience with a variety of painting and finishing techniques.
• Ability to mix and match colors and finishes to match designs.
• Ability to interpret build drawings and develop finishing processes.
• Ability to organize and maintain inventory of painting supplies and tools.
• Comfort working at heights and in an active production environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality finishes on a variety of substrates and forms.
• Review drawings and confirm order of operations; ask questions when needed.
• Produce samples as needed.
• Manage time to meet deadlines and keep projects on schedule.
• Organize and label parts and materials; maintain an orderly paint shop.
• Ensure final product is protected and properly packaged for delivery.
