Job summary

Lodge Cast Iron in South Pittsburg, Tennessee is hiring a Finisher. You will move castings through inspection, grinding and cleaning to ensure every piece meets Lodge quality standards.

The role is fast-paced and physical, with a focus on safety, teamwork and craftsmanship. Starting pay is $21.25/hour with opportunities for increases and a second shift premium.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic hand tool knowledge.
• Ability to meet physical requirements: standing, lifting, bending, and using safety equipment.
• 2+ years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office is a plus.
• Forklift license is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Move castings through inspection, grinding and cleaning to meet quality standards.
• Sort castings, identify defects, and route products to the next step.
• Work hands-on with conveyors, grinders and cleaning equipment.
• Follow safety standards at all times.
• Maintain production flow and quality throughout the shift.

A day in the life of a Finisher

A typical day begins with moving castings through inspection, grinding, and cleaning to ensure each piece meets Lodge quality standards. You will sort castings, identify defects, and route products to the appropriate next step while keeping production flowing. Throughout the shift, you’ll work hands‑on with conveyors, grinders, and cleaning equipment, following safety standards at all times. The role is fast‑paced, physical, and detail‑driven, with a strong focus on consistency, quality, and teamwork.

• 2+ years of related experience and/or training preferred.
