CKF Omaha is seeking a Stone Countertop Finisher to hand finish countertops, polish edges, and deliver high-quality work in a production setting. The role requires using a miter saw, wet grinder, and hand tools to create precise edges and ensure perfect fit and finish for clients.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow job plans and instructions (CADs and blueprints).
• Experience with CADs/blueprints or shop drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch with accuracy.
• Experience using miter saws, handheld polisher and basic hand tools.

Responsabilités

• Hand fabricate and polish all custom cut edges of stone countertops.
• Create custom edging/details using a miter saw.
• Use a wet grinder to cut stone by hand when necessary.
• Repair chips and re-finish edges as required.
• Follow job plans and SPS; scan barcodes to track pieces.

The Stone Countertop Finisher position is responsible for hand finishing the stone countertops, delivering quality results and professional service to our customers. The Custom Finisher performs more complex cuts using miters saws and using hand tools.

Essential Functions

• Hand fabricate and polish all custom cut edges of stone countertops
• Creates custom edging and details using a miter saw
• Uses a wet grinder to cut stone by hand, when necessary
• Repair chips and re-finish edges when required
• Review and follow all job plans and instructions as listed in SPS
• Scan barcode on stone piece before starting a cut and after completion to ensure that the correct pieces are being worked on and moving through the fabrication process.
• Maintain and operate equipment in accordance with operating manuals and procedures
• Maintain an efficient, organized and clean work area
• Pre-inspect materials before processing and double check material
• Pull measurements for accuracy
• Adhere to all safety policies and standard operating procedures to ensure the safety of self, team members and company property
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Work Environment

This position will work in an indoor production environment around large machinery, overhead cranes, and power tools. There may be areas with wet floors. The production environment involves a consistently high level of noise.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, push, pull, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Individuals must have the ability to lift a minimum of 75lbs on a regular basis.

Required Education and Experience

• High attention to detail
• Ability to read and follow job plans and instructions (CADs and blueprints)
• Ability to use and read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch with accuracy and precision
• Experience using miter saws, handheld polisher and basic hand tools

Preferred Education and Experience

• General carpentry knowledge or experience
• Experience working with stone products
• Basic computer skills
