Job summary

Hancock & Moore in the United States is seeking a Furniture Finisher responsible for the overall finishing operation of high-end furniture, including repair, spraying, detailing, highlighting, sanding and distressing.

You will inspect for defects, ensure color matching accuracy, and perform burns-ins and other finishing steps, while following safety policies and procedures. This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Must have a keen eye for color and finish quality.
  • Experience with high-end furniture finishing is a plus.
  • Willingness to follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and repair high-end furniture to defect-free standards.
  • Ensure color match is correct across finishes.
  • Perform wood finishing processes including repair, burn-ins, spraying, detailing, highlighting, sanding.
  • Operate finishing equipment and hand tools; adhere to safety policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for the overall finishing operation of furniture, including repair, spraying, detailing, highlighting, sanding and distressing.Essential DutiesResponsible for inspecting & repairing high end quality furniture is free from defectsResponsible for ensuring color match is correctResponsible for all facets of the wood finishing process including repair, burn-ins, spraying, detailing, highlighting, sanding, and destressingUses a variety of machines including but not limited to rub machine & pallet jack, as well as operates numerous hand toolsMust follow all safety policies and proceduresAll other duties as assignedPosition RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious finishing experience a plusPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
