Job summary

Laser Apparel is seeking a detail‑oriented quality inspector to ensure embroidered garments meet specifications. This role involves verifying order details, attaching correct tags, packing products, and maintaining accurate production records.

The position requires reading safety rules and work orders, basic math, and dependable, timely communication. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced production environment and adhere to company safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders and procedure manuals.
• Proficient basic math for counting, pricing, and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect embroidered garments for quality and accuracy.
• Report errors and pack finished garments.
• Obtain pre-price tickets for orders as required.
• Verify work orders for ship/cancel dates, Art ID numbers, sizes, types, locations and colors; compare to Production Sheet.
• Attach Pre-Price tickets and hang tags according to routing steps.
• Mark operation performed with employee number on routing page.
• Assist with scrap forms and place scrap in designated area.
• Verify decoration quality and garment quality.
• Package, weigh, and attach documents to boxes as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate Laser Apparel Vision and Values; comply with attendance policy; observe safety procedures; communicate effectively; meet deadlines; follow instructions; ensure quality.

Summary:

This position is responsible for inspecting all embroidered garments, reporting errors, and packaging finished garments.

1. Obtains pre-price tickets for orders as required.

2. Verify work orders for; Ship and cancel dates; Art ID numbers; Art size; Art type; Art location; correct garment styles; correct ink colors and compare findings to Manufacturing Production Sheet.

3. Verifies order with Pre-Price tickets.

4. Verifies garment style/size/color when attaching Pre-Price and hang tags according to the operation description steps on the job routing page.

5. Signs employee number next to the operation performed on the job routing page.

6. Assists with filling out scrap form and places scrap in designated area.

7. Verify quality of decoration and quality of garments.

8. Packs, weighs, and attaches documents to box cartons as needed.

9. Other duties assigned.

Physical Demands:

• The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 35 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Preferred but not required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work orders and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Basic computer skills.
