Job summary

Altec in Dixon, CA is seeking a Final Finisher to assist in the final assembly of our aerial devices, digger derricks and related equipment. You will perform safe, timely, and quality workmanship, keeping daily time records and helping with shop organization.

The role requires basic hand tool use, ability to read blueprints and tape measures, and a strong detail orientation to ensure customer specifications are met.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical knowledge is required for assembly and quality checks.
  • Ability to read a tape measure for precise dimensions.
  • Ability to read blueprints and component layouts.
  • Attention to detail is essential for quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • To assist where needed in final assembly.
  • Provide safe, timely, quality workmanship on each duty performed.
  • Accomplish daily tasks as directed by supervision, including shop cleaning and organization.
  • Maintain daily time records on each job assigned.
  • Work in confined areas such as truck cabs.
  • Use basic hand tools to install components.
  • Perform re-work as required.
  • Complete customer revisions.
  • Adhere to Altec safety & environmental policies and procedures.
  • Minor part installation/light assembly.
  • Decal/Placard installation.
  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate reading, calculating, measuring, and planning skills.
  • Work in environments with elevated surfaces, vibration, noise, and temperature changes.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, be a team player and work well with others.

Qualifications
  • Education/Training Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational school a plus.
Experience Required
  • Mechanical knowledge
  • Ability to read tape measure
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Must be detail oriented.
