Job summary

PPG is seeking an Finished Good Planner to manage finished goods supply planning using Oracle ASCP at our Gainesville, TX facility. You will balance demand, inventory, and production capacity while partnering with Scheduling, Operations, Customer Service, and Raw Material Planning to proactively identify risks and drive effective supply decisions.

You will translate forecasts and planning parameters into executable production plans, optimize safety stock and lead times, and communicate supply

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Planning, Production Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, or related operations.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP or advanced planning systems; Oracle ASCP, Oracle EBS, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of supply and demand planning, inventory management, manufacturing operations, and planning parameters.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable business decisions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification, IBP/S&OP experience, multi-site manufacturing experience, or Power BI/Power Query/SQL experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own finished goods supply planning using ASCP, reviewing demand, planned orders, projected inventory, recommendations, and exceptions.
  • Translate demand, forecasts, inventory requirements, and planning parameters into actionable production and supply requirements.
  • Balance customer service, finished goods inventory, manufacturing capacity, lead times, and constraints while identifying shortages and supply risks.
  • Partner with Production Scheduling and Operations to convert supply requirements into executable production plans.
  • Manage finished goods inventory and planning parameters, including safety stock, lead times, order quantities, sourcing rules, and other settings to optimize service and working capital.
  • Recommend actions to resolve supply-demand imbalances and support inventory optimization across locations and warehouses.
  • Serve as a key Supply Chain contact for Customer Service with timely communication on product availability, constraints, priorities, and recovery plans.
  • Analyze planning and inventory performance, perform root cause analysis, and support IBP, continuous improvement, and planning standardization initiatives.

Job description

As Finished Good Planner , you help manage finished goods supply planning using Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP), balancing customer demand, inventory, manufacturing capacity, and operational constraints to support customer service while optimizing working capital. You partner closely with Production Scheduling, Operations, Customer Service, Raw Material Planning, and other manufacturing locations to proactively identify supply risks and drive effective supply decisions across the network. You will work with the team at our Gainesville, TX, manufacturing facility, reporting to the USCA Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Own finished goods supply planning for assigned products using Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP), reviewing demand, planned orders, projected inventory, recommendations, and exceptions.
