Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc in Gainesville, TX is seeking a Finished Good Planner to manage finished goods supply planning using Oracle ASCP, balancing customer demand, inventory, capacity, and constraints to support service while optimizing working capital.

You will partner closely with Production Scheduling, Operations, Customer Service, Raw Material Planning and other manufacturing locations to identify supply risks and drive effective supply decisions across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2+ years in supply chain planning, inventory or production planning.
• Experience with MRP/ERP or advanced planning systems (Oracle ASCP/Oracle EBS/SAP).
• Strong knowledge of forecasting, inventory management and planning parameters.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis, cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Own finished goods supply planning for assigned products using ASCP.
• Translate demand, forecasts and inventory into production and supply requirements.
• Balance service, inventory, capacity, lead times and constraints; identify risks.
• Collaborate with Production Scheduling and Operations to create actionable plans.
• Manage finished goods inventory, safety stock, lead times, quantities and sourcing rules.
• Recommend actions to resolve supply-demand imbalances and optimize working capital.
• Serve as Supply Chain contact for Customer Service with timely communications.
• Analyze planning performance, perform root cause analysis, support IBP and standardization.
