Job summary

PPG is seeking an As Finished Good Planner to manage finished goods supply planning using Oracle ASCP, balancing demand, inventory, and capacity to support customer service while optimizing working capital. You will collaborate across Production Scheduling, Operations, Customer Service, and Raw Material Planning, supporting multiple manufacturing locations and driving proactive supply decisions.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel to analyze large datasets and translate findings into decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own finished goods supply planning for assigned products using Oracle ASCP, reviewing demand, planned orders, projected inventory, recommendations, and exceptions.
• Translate customer demand, forecasts, inventory requirements into actionable production and supply requirements.
• Balance service, finished goods inventory, capacity, lead times, and constraints while identifying shortages and risks.
• Partner with Production Scheduling and Operations to convert supply requirements into executable production plans.
• Manage finished goods inventory and planning parameters to optimize service and working capital.
• Recommend actions to resolve imbalances and support inventory optimization across locations.
• Serve as a key Supply Chain contact for Customer Service, communicating availability and recovery plans.
• Analyze planning and inventory performance and support IBP and continuous improvement initiatives.

As Finished Good Planner , you help manage finished goods supply planning using Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP), balancing customer demand, inventory, manufacturing capacity, and operational constraints to support customer service while optimizing working capital. You partner closely with Production Scheduling, Operations, Customer Service, Raw Material Planning, and other manufacturing locations to proactively identify supply risks and drive effective supply decisions across the network. You will work with the team at our Springdale, PA, manufacturing facility, reporting to the Supply Chain Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Own finished goods supply planning for assigned products using Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP), reviewing demand, planned orders, projected inventory, recommendations, and exceptions.
• Translate customer demand, forecasts, inventory requirements, and planning parameters into actionable production and supply requirements.
• Balance customer service, finished goods inventory, manufacturing capacity, lead times, and operational constraints while proactively identifying shortages and supply risks.
• Partner with Production Scheduling and Operations to convert supply requirements into executable production plans and align priorities with manufacturing capabilities.
• Manage finished goods inventory and planning parameters, including safety stock, lead times, order quantities, sourcing rules, and other settings to optimize service and working capital.
• Recommend production, inventory, and transfer actions to resolve supply-demand imbalances and support inventory optimization across manufacturing locations and warehouses.
• Serve as a key Supply Chain contact for Customer Service, providing timely communication on product availability, constraints, customer priorities, and recovery plans.
• Analyze planning and inventory performance, perform root cause analysis, and support IBP, continuous improvement, and planning standardization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Planning, Production Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, or related operations.
• Experience working with MRP/ERP or advanced planning systems; Oracle ASCP, Oracle EBS, SAP, or similar systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of supply and demand planning, inventory management, manufacturing operations, and planning parameters.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency with the ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable business decisions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions, and proactively identify risks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification, IBP/S&OP experience, multi-site manufacturing experience, or Power BI/Power Query/SQL experience preferred.
