Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a Finished Goods Handler to join our packaging team. This hands-on role covers material handling, forklift operation, and supporting production to keep lines moving.

You will follow GMPs, handle allergens carefully, use FEFO/FIFO, and help with packaging materials and staging. The rotating schedule is Fri-Sun and Thu-Sun 6:00 PM–6:30 AM.

Qualifications

• Basic math and reading skills required.
• Forklift license required or obtainable.
• Knowledge of product quality and basic operations through training.
• Ability to communicate production issues to coworkers and supervision.
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet production needs.
• Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness.
• Ability to work proactively within a diverse, cross-functional team.
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forklifts and report damage or faults to supervisor.
• Support production with raw materials and finished goods rotation.
• Transport non-conforming goods to the Hold area for quality disposition.
• Ensure raw ingredients are not mixed with finished goods.
• Use FEFO when pulling raw materials from storage.
• Use FIFO when storing finished product.
• Wrap, tag and transport finished goods to staging locations.
• Adhere to GMPs, OSHA safety and all procedures.
