Job summary

HOYA Vision Care in San Diego, CA is hiring a Finish Technician to inspect lenses sourced from the Surface Department before finish blocking or AR coating. The role ensures precision and quality in our optical production process.

Pay begins at $22+ per hour, with a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm schedule. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and may have prior experience in optical manufacturing; on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in optical/lens manufacturing preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Spot lenses to check power and prism measurements for accuracy
• Inspect and pad block lenses using specialized blocking equipment
• Clean and insert ophthalmic lenses into ophthalmic frames with precision
• Utilize lensometer equipment to check lens attributes against established quality standards
• Verify lens treatments and proper frame alignment against prescription specifications
