Job summary

Big Tex Trailers in Texas is seeking a Finish Supervisor to lead the finishing department and support daily production. You will ensure structural, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and cosmetic finishing are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

You will coach a team, drive continuous improvement, resolve bottlenecks, coordinate with other departments, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years manufacturing/production experience, preferably in trailer manufacturing.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of trailer finishing, hydraulic, wiring, and final assembly.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials.
• Willingness to work across multiple production areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily finishing operations to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
• Supervise hands-on finishing tasks across structural, hydraulic, wiring, and final assembly.
• Conduct final inspections to verify quality and safety.
• Train and develop team members on processes, safety, and quality standards.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and enforce PPE policies.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to hit goals.
