Job summary

BIG TEX TRAILER MANUFACTURING LLC is seeking a Painter 1 to prep and paint metal trailers in a production setting. You will prepare surfaces, mix paints, apply finishes, and ensure a high-quality appearance.

You will operate electrostatic air spray and hand spray equipment, maintain paint booth cleanliness, follow processes, and comply with safety rules. 0-1 year experience preferred; strong attention to detail is important.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of experience in a production painting environment.
• Proficiency in using electrostatic air sprayers and other hand sprayers.
• Knowledge of paint mixing, application techniques, and color matching.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare paint equipment and supplies.
• Clean and maintain paint booth and work area.
• Prepare materials, products, and metals for painting.
• Follow established processes and procedures for paint production.
• Position products and materials for efficient painting.
• Prepare and monitor paint solutions to ensure consistency and quality.
• Refinish, repaint, and rework painted surfaces to correct defects.
• Apply paint using various techniques, including electrostatic air spraying and hand spraying.
• Ensure accurate and consistent color matching and application.
• Monitor paint application to maintain quality standards.
• Move trailers and parts to and from the paint area as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties, as assigned.
