Must be able to transform an interior space from shell to finished space Must have precise craftsmanship as well as an eye for good interior design.
- Construct, install, maintain and repair wooden structures, such as walls, roofs, floors, partitions, and frame buildings, using a variety of carpentry tools and equipment
- Install interior and exterior trim work, including baseboard, crown molding, window and door frames, and other decorative pieces that require a high level of skill and craftsmanship.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
- Cut and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall, using hand and power tools, and install the materials.
- Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks and props, using hand-held tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
- Erect scaffolding or other platforms as necessary to complete work.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Manage and organize tools, materials, and equipment used on the job site. Must have the following skills:
