Job summary

Southern Utilities & Grading, LLC. seeks an experienced Fine Grading Misc Equipment Operator to join our field team. You will operate heavy machinery and work under a foreman or superintendent, performing grading, material handling, and site preparation duties.

Candidates should be able to labor outdoors in varied weather, pass a pre-employment drug/background check, and lift up to 50–80 lbs. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within surrounding areas are required.

Qualifications

• Willing to perform manual labor and work outdoors.
• Must be able to understand site goals and direction.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and background screening.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Able to lift 50-80 lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Shovel curb and remove inlet protection.
• Assist pulling string line and checking grade.
• Spot for trucks and equipment.
• Operate and move bulk material with wheel loader or skid steer.
• Run equipment to support the motor grader (roller, backhoe, trench roller, mini excavator).
• Maintain attendance and follow foreman directions.
