Job summary

Essex Meadows, located in Connecticut, seeks server staff for part-time and full-time opportunities in a fine dining setting. Earn $18 per hour with consistent scheduling, weekend/holiday coverage as needed, and comprehensive benefits for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service and understand requests.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, management and peers.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and guests.
• Know current offerings and specials.
• Properly carry and handle service trays in a safe and professional manner.
• Learn the department’s steps of service and suggest drinks and menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of side stations and equipment, report problems.
• Fulfill side work and assist with dishwashing as needed.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Perform work duties as assigned by management.
