Job summary

The Peacock Inn is seeking a Server/Bartender for its fine dining team in Princeton, New Jersey. You will deliver exceptional service, present menus, take orders, prepare and serve beverages, and build rapport with guests to create memorable experiences.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years of bar and fine dining experience, strong knowledge of wine and cocktails, and the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years' experience in bar and fine dining.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate food and beverage service for a station of tables and bar guests.
• Present menus, take orders, and offer thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine, beer, and craft cocktails.
• Develop rapport with guests to ensure a memorable and personalized experience.
• Maintain knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and service standards.
• Handle guest complaints or special requests with tact and efficiency.
