Job summary

The Virginian Golf Club & Nicewonder Farm & Vineyards in Bristol, VA is seeking a Server for Hickory to provide an elevated dining experience in a high-volume, hospitality-focused setting. This part-time, hourly position includes tips and non-exempt status.

You will guide guests through the menu, coordinate with hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff, and maintain clean, organized service areas while delivering warm, professional service. Evening and weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in a restaurant serving or hospitality role.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and guest service skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly, establishing a welcoming and professional tone.
• Guide guests through the menu, describing dishes, answering questions, and making thoughtful recommendations for food and beverage pairings.
• Accurately record orders using the POS system, ensuring all modifications, allergies, and dietary needs are clearly communicated to the kitchen and bar.
• Deliver food and beverages with precision, following service standards for timing, presentation, and guest interaction.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and proactively address any concerns or requests.
