Job summary

Margaux, a prestigious French fine dining restaurant, seeks a dedicated Server Assistant to support front-of-house operations. You will help with table setup, food running, refills, and maintaining a pristine dining environment to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

This role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and strong guest service. A flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, is provided to fit staff needs and restaurant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a server assistant, busser, or similar in a restaurant setting, preferably fine dining.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take direction well.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent communication and personable interaction with guests and colleagues.
• Physical stamina to lift and move trays and clean as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers with setup of dining areas before service.
• Greet guests and guide them to tables, assist with seating as needed.
• Refill water, bread, and condiments throughout the meal.
• Assist in delivering food orders from kitchen to tables.
• Clear and reset tables after guests depart maintaining cleanliness.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar for timely service of food and drinks.
• Maintain spotless dining room and restrooms; wipe surfaces and sweep/vacuum.
• Stock supplies like napkins, utensils, and cleaning materials.
• Support during peak service periods to ensure smooth flow and guest satisfaction.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
