Job summary

Ella Dining Room and Bar in Sacramento invites a guest-focused Host to warmly greet guests, seat diners, and manage dining room flow using OpenTable. You will help maintain reservation accuracy, communicate guest needs, and support smooth service throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of host experience in fine dining, strong communication, and a team-first attitude. The role offers competitive hourly pay, dining perks, and benefits through Selland Hospitality Group.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Host experience in a full-service fine dining setting.
• Experience operating OpenTable floorplan in a high-volume setting.
• Active RBS Card.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with reliable transportation.
• Articulate communication skills and hospitable demeanor; team-first mindset.
• Ability to work various hours as business dictates.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage seating.
• Maintain OpenTable reservations and floorplan.
• Manage seating flow and server rotations for balanced service.
• Communicate guest needs to managers and servers.
• Assist with phone inquiries, booking reservations, bussing tables, and maintaining host station cleanliness.
• Acknowledge departing guests to leave a lasting impression.
