Job summary

The Fearrington House Restaurant is a Relais & Châteaux property known for refined hospitality and seasonal cuisine, located just outside Chapel Hill. We are seeking a motivated Food Runner / Backwait to support our evening service and help maintain a flawless dining flow.

This role offers growth in a fine dining setting, with a dedicated team and opportunities to learn, while working Thursday through Sunday evenings in Fearrington Village.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a team-oriented mindset.
• Professional, positive attitude.
• Must be available Thursday through Sunday evenings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately.
• Assist servers with table maintenance, including clearing, resetting, and water service.
• Support seamless communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Ensure dining areas remain clean, organized, and service-ready at all times.
• Assist with polishing, stocking, and preparing service stations.
• Anticipate team and guest needs to support an elevated dining experience.
