Job summary

Fielding's Steak is hiring a Dishwasher/Steward to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dish area. The role is approximately 75% cleaning and sanitation and 25% prep support, supporting the culinary team with basic preparation tasks.

Responsibilities include warewashing, kitchen cleaning, waste management, and closing tasks. Texas Food Handler certification is required within 30 days, and availability for nights and weekends is needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Texas Food Handler certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and posted procedures.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality; dependable transportation.
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Prior restaurant or dish experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store china, glassware, stemware, flatware, serving pieces, and ramekins.
• Sweep and mop kitchen, dish area, back hall, and walk-in floors during the shift.
• Clear and clean floor drains, sinks, and drain covers; maintain a clean dish pit at all times.
• Perform basic knife work and assist with receiving deliveries; restock stations with clean equipment and product.
