Job summary

Penn State Lady Lions is seeking an Education Program Specialist to advance financial literacy and student success across Penn State campuses. You will develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs and supervise Student Financial Wellness Ambassadors, delivering engaging presentations and workshops.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, with strong communication and data reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Finance, Counseling, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Communications, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Experience delivering presentations, workshops, training programs, or educational programming.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading student employees, peer educators, or volunteers.
• Knowledge of financial wellness, financial literacy, or student success programs.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting program data and assessment results.
• Strong communication, facilitation, organization, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver financial education presentations, workshops, and coaching sessions across Penn State campuses.
• Facilitate classroom instruction and educational programs using established curriculum and learning resources.
• Adapt educational content to meet the needs of diverse audiences and learning environments.
• Serve as a primary educator and representative of the Sokolov-Miller Family Financial & Life Skills Center.
• Supervise and support Student Financial Wellness Ambassadors.
• Coordinate student employee schedules, assignments, and program participation.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to student staff.
• Coordinatelogisticsfor workshops, presentations, and outreach events.
• Serve as a point of contact for program requests and campus partners.
• Manage scheduling, communications, materials, and event preparation activities.
• Collect and track participation, assessment, and program outcome data.
• Prepare reports and recommendations to support program improvement.
• Support outreach, marketing, and communication efforts that promote financial wellness programs.
• Maintain and update educational resources, presentations, and program materials.
• Contribute to the advancement of financial literacy and student success initiatives.
