Job summary

Wright-Patt Credit Union Inc. seeks an experienced Financial Coach I to deliver extraordinary service and build member relationships that meet financial needs. You will educate members on credit, loans, and budgeting, process accounts and loans, and proactively refer to Mortgage, Retirement Solutions, and other teams.

Strong communication, empathy, and NMLS compliance are essential as you guide members through documentation and financial concepts across channels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• 6-12 months of service experience in financial industry preferred.
• NMLS is required.
• Experience in financial coaching or financial literacy education required.
• Strong ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
• Hands-on experience with loans, account openings, and guiding members through documentation.
• Knowledge of personal finance, credit, and consumer financial products.
• Proficiency in MeridianLink, Symitar and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to assess member needs, review credit reports, and recommend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Consultatively interact with members to meet financial needs and recommend products.
• Process new accounts and loan requests; close and disburse loans.
• Ask open-ended questions to uncover additional savings opportunities.
• Ensure policies and controls are followed; report gaps to leadership.
• Identify qualified referrals to Mortgage Lending, Member Business Services, and Retirement Solutions.
• Assist members with questions about WPCU products and resolve complaints.
• Perform miscellaneous duties such as end of day tasks and reporting.
