Job summary

KeyCorp in Denver, CO is seeking a Personal Banker who will engage clients, uncover financial needs, and provide guidance to support their financial wellness in person and via proactive calling.

As a branch team member, you’ll open consumer and small business accounts, develop relationships, collaborate with partners, and ensure compliant, accurate service daily.

This client-first, sales-driven role requires strong communication, integrity, and the ability to work Saturdays when directed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year's experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources.
• Experience with sales is more important than financial services experience.
• Understanding of consumer credit - including loan to value, debt to income and credit reports.
• Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking.
• Demonstrated experience with influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence.
• Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel, etc.).
• Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, web-based browsing) and ability to educate clients on digital platforms and capabilities within Key (required)

• Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
• Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during in-person and over the phone client conversations and provide effective and customized financial wellness recommendations to clients.
• Consistently attains individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals and expectations.
• Opening personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, various deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.).
• Developing strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners – focusing on client acquisition and deepening the relationship of current clients; effectively managing internal and external centers of influence.
