Job summary

Florida Department of the Lottery – Division of General Accounting is seeking a Financial Analyst to manage the payment of vendors, reimbursements, and related accounting tasks. The role requires independent judgment and strong written and oral communication, working daily in FLAIR and FACTS.

The position supports Prompt Payment compliance, prepares invoices, and ensures accurate coding of encumbrances and payables, reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of routine accounting procedures and records.
• Understanding of The Prompt Payment Law (Chapter 215.422, F.S.).
• Ability to analyze, research, report and interpret accounting data.

Responsibilities

• Audit and process reimbursement and disbursement requests for contracts and purchasing documents.
• Prepare invoices and supporting documentation for prize payments.
• Reconcile payments and encumbrances monthly across FLAIR and related systems.
• Code and update encumbrances and payables with appropriate GL codes.
