Job summary

City of New York seeks a Computer Associate (Software), L2 to support the Budget Control & Coordination division. You will manage technical budgetary exercises, maintain Hyperion planning, and develop reports for financial systems.

The role requires strong SQL/VB/VBA skills, experience with Hyperion and ODI integrations, and the ability to train staff on technical processes. Civil service applicants encouraged; salary range is posted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 1 year of software experience, or equivalent.
• Experience with Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Smart View, and Oracle databases is preferred.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the Authority's Operating/Capital budget with technical exercises.
• Assist in evaluating proposals and estimating impact of decisions.
• Provide technical assistance in preparation of budgets per executive priorities.
• Maintain MS Access and SQL databases with ad-hoc queries for upper management.
• Maintain Oracle Hyperion planning and perform data imports/exports.
• Create/update Hyperion calcs, forms, and reports for budgeting exercises.
