Anderson Frank is seeking an experienced Financial Systems Manager to own and optimize a NetSuite ERP environment for a Houston client. You will partner with Accounting, FP&A, and IT to ensure scalable, accurate operations and will lead a small team while staying hands-on with scripting and configuration.

The role blends accounting/finance and IT knowledge, requiring strong NetSuite expertise and the ability to translate business needs into system solutions. On-site work in Houston is required.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years direct NetSuite experience in admin/analyst roles.
• Candidates may come from Accounting/Finance or IT/Systems backgrounds.
• Experience mentoring or managing a small team is required.
• Experience with system integrations (APIs, middleware) is a must.

Responsibilities

• Own NetSuite ERP instance and serve as SME.
• Lead and develop a 2-person financial systems team.
• Configure and maintain NetSuite modules (GL, AP/AR, FA, Revenue recog).
• Translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
• Manage integrations with payroll, CRM, and other systems via APIs/middleware.
• Oversee testing, sandbox, and change control for releases.
• Support month/quarter-end close from a systems perspective.
• Identify automation opportunities and improve processes.

Compensation: $140,000 – $180,000 base + 15–20% annual bonus

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Systems Manager to own and optimize our client's NetSuite ERP environment. This role sits at the intersection of finance and technology, you'll partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, and IT to ensure our client's financial systems support scalable, accurate, and efficient operations. You'll lead a team of two while remaining hands‑on with system configuration, scripting, and process improvement.

We're open to candidates from either an accounting or IT/systems background, provided you bring strong NetSuite expertise and are comfortable working directly with scripts and configurations, this is not a purely functional or purely technical role, but a blend of both.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the organization's NetSuite ERP instance
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 2 financial systems professionals
• Configure, customize, and maintain NetSuite modules (GL, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Revenue Recognition, etc.)
• Partner with Accounting and Finance leadership to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions
• Manage integrations between NetSuite and other business systems (e.g., payroll, CRM, procurement, banking platforms) via APIs or middleware
• Own system testing, sandbox management, and change control for NetSuite releases and updates
• Troubleshoot data integrity issues, reconcile system discrepancies, and support month‑end/quarter‑end close from a systems perspective
• Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains within financial systems
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with SOX and internal control requirements as they relate to financial systems (if applicable)
• Evaluate and implement new NetSuite features, modules, or third‑party integrations as the business scales

What You Bring

Required:

• 5-7 years of experience working directly with NetSuite in an administrator, analyst, or systems management capacity
• Background in either:
• Accounting/Finance — strong understanding of GL, month‑end close, financial reporting, and GAAP; comfortable enough with systems to get hands‑on with configuration and scripting, or
• IT/Systems — strong ERP implementation/administration background with solid understanding of accounting/financial processes and terminology
• Prior experience managing or mentoring a team (people management experience required)
• Experience managing system integrations (APIs, middleware, or third‑party connectors)
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to translate between technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Must be able to work fully on‑site in Houston, TX

Preferred:

• NetSuite certification(s) (Administrator, SuiteFoundation, or similar)
• Experience with SuiteAnalytics, SuiteCloud, or NetSuite's REST/SOAP APIs
• Experience with a NetSuite implementation or migration project
• Exposure to SOX compliance and internal controls
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
• Base Salary: $140,000 – $180,000 (commensurate with experience)
