Job summary

Michael Best & Friedrich, LLP is seeking a Financial Applications Analyst to support the firm's financial systems, reporting solutions, integrations, and business processes. You will work across Accounting, Billing, Legal Operations, IT, and external vendors to ensure reliable, accurate reporting and streamlined automation.

The role partners with multiple teams to implement upgrades, develop dashboards, and improve data movement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience supporting financial systems, business applications, reporting, or data analysis.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Power BI, SSRS, or similar reporting platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Experience with Aderant Expert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day administration and operation of the Firm's financial applications, including accounting, billing, expense management, timekeeping, and related business systems.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, SQL queries, and recurring reporting solutions.
• Assist with data validation, reconciliations, and investigation of reporting variances.
• Partner with business stakeholders to develop reporting solutions that improve decision-making.
