Veterans United Home Loans is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst to partner with our Accounting team, analyze data, and streamline processes for smarter, scalable operations.

You’ll design and maintain reports and automation using SQL, Excel, Tableau, Python and AI-enabled tools; strengthen controls and reduce repetitive work, enabling the team to focus on insights.

What matters most is your ability to dig into data, understand complex processes and turn what you learn into practical solutions.Specifically, we’re looking for:Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, scalable models and automation.Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience working with data to spot trends, investigate exceptions and support business decisions.An ability to break down complex processes and turn them into practical solutions.A knack for learning new technology and finding smarter ways to work.Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, AI-enabled tools or similar technologies is a plus.About the Role:As a Financial Systems Analyst, you’ll partner closely with our Accounting team to make the way we work simpler, smarter and more scalable.You’ll get to know our existing processes, dig into the data behind them and look for opportunities to reduce repetitive work, strengthen controls and improve reporting. Then, you’ll help turn those opportunities into solutions using tools like SQL, Excel, Tableau, Python and AI-enabled technologies.The goal? Help our Accounting team spend less time preparing recurring reports and more time understanding the story behind the numbers.Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:Partner with the Accounting team to understand existing workflows and identify manual work, reporting gaps, data risks and opportunities for improvement.Recommend and prioritize solutions based on business impact, risk and efficiency.Design, build, test and maintain reports, dashboards, data queries, Excel automations and other scalable tools.Validate your work to make sure solutions are accurate, reliable and built to last.Explore thoughtful ways to use AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve accounting workflows.Help establish appropriate controls around new tools and support teammates as they adopt new solutions.Jump into financial and data analysis, special projects and cross-functional work as business needs evolve.Pitch in wherever needed, excluding licensed activity, to help make the team and culture stronger.About You:Curiosity comes naturally to you.
