Job summary

UW Credit Union is hiring Personal Bankers (Financial Specialists) to deliver personalized service and educate members on financial products. The 12-week training is designed to build knowledge and confidence as you support members with accounts, loans, and retirement planning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service and/or consultative sales experience.
• Analytical, accurate, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn a wide range of knowledge in a feedback-rich environment.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships and deliver top-notch service.
• Flexible, adaptable, coachable, and collaborative in a dynamic environment.
• Natural ability to lead and influence others.
• Proficiency with personal computer and office software.
• Must obtain and maintain Notary Public certification.

Responsibilities

• A daily morning branch huddle to align goals and updates.
• Greet members and be a resource for questions and guidance.
• Understand members' financial goals and educate on products and services.
• Open accounts, process loan applications, answer questions, and handle transactions.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and stay informed on branch news and products.
• Learn credit union products through training and self-guided tools.
• Call members to follow up on new account activity and referrals.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet product sales targets and referrals.
• Serve as mentor and role model for staff at the branch.
• Handle escalations to address critical member needs effectively.
