WakeMed seeks a Lead Cost Report professional in Raleigh, NC to drive Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting and reserve estimation for third‑party audits. You will collaborate with the Reimbursement Manager to ensure timely submissions, audits, and comprehensive data requests from vendors.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration and at least 5 years in accounting/finance with reimbursement experience.
Serves as the Lead Cost Report position in preparing the annual Medicare/ Medicaid Cost Reports and providing periodic (monthly/quarterly) estimates of third-party cost report reserves. Works closely with the Reimbursement Manager to ensure the timeliness of cost report submission, intermediary audits, including cost report audits, wage index audits, and occupational mix audits, and data collections as required by outside vendors. The Financial Specialist is also involved in the review and submission of the annual uncompensated care survey to the state of North Carolina.
