We are a passionate team committed to our vision of creating financial solutions that make lives better, and we're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Specialist to join our Corporate Accounting team. In this role, you will help support strategic financial decision-making, balance sheet management, forecasting, regulatory reporting, and investment analysis that contribute to the Credit Union's long-term financial success.

As the Financial Specialist, you will work independently and collaboratively with the Financial Accounting team to perform analytical and technical financial functions, conduct research, maintain forecasting models, support budgeting efforts, and provide reporting and analysis for management and regulatory agencies. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional looking to expand their expertise in asset/liability management, investments, forecasting, and financial analysis within a mission-driven organization.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Financial Analysis & Forecasting: Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop meaningful recommendations. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, interest rate analysis, financial modeling, or investment portfolio analysis is highly desirable. Ability to maintain historical data and support strategic planning through analytical reporting.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical thinking with the ability to research complex issues, evaluate alternatives, and develop sound solutions. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues, vendors, and leadership. Ability to present findings clearly and contribute positively within a team environment while maintaining strong organizational relationships.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Awareness: Knowledge of financial institution regulations, reporting requirements, and internal controls. Ability to ensure compliance with credit union policies and applicable regulations, including BSA/AML/OFAC requirements, while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

  • Experience & Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required. Zeo to two years of experience in a financial institution or related finance industry required; experience involving lending, investments, or financial analysis preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, preferred. Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, reporting, or financial institution software is a plus.

Ways we'll appreciate you:

  • A collaborative and positive workplace culture

  • Initial and on-going support, training and mentorship with promotion opportunities

  • Competitive wages, bonuses, paid holidays and paid time off

  • 100% credit-union-paid employee coverage for medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; dependent coverage also available

  • 401k Plan with an amazingly generous credit union match!

  • Tax-saving Flexible Spending and Health Savings Plans

  • Premier membership perks, company clothing, wellness and recognition programs
