Ability to ensure accurate accounting of financial information for both the Credit Union and its subsidiaries while maintaining compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities with experience researching complex accounting issues, evaluating financial and transactional data, identifying process improvements, and developing sound recommendations. Ability to work effectively under deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships across all levels of the organization. Ability to communicate effectively with auditors, examiners, management, and staff, while providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Internal Controls: Knowledge of regulatory reporting, audit processes, internal controls, and record retention requirements. Ability to support compliance with NCUA, IRS, State of Oregon, BSA/AML/OFAC, and other applicable regulations while helping maintain strong accounting controls and procedures.
  • Experience & Education: Three to five years of accounting experience required.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably in Accounting or Finance. Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency required. Experience in areas such as budgeting, forecasting, payroll accounting, mortgage accounting, investment accounting, accounts payable, fixed assets, or cost accounting preferred. Experience with accounting and reporting systems, database applications, and financial software is highly desirable.
