Job summary

First Financial Bank is seeking a Collector in Terre Haute, IN to work on delinquent accounts, arrange payment plans, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will engage clients by phone, mail, and in-person visits to resolve past-due balances and document interactions.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of customer service, and banking experience is preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, plus ability to commute to multiple work sites within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a business setting.
• Prior banking or collections experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software, including Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to commute to the primary work location in Terre Haute and travel to other sites within driving distance.
• Ability to remain stationary for up to 75% of an eight-hour day.
• Ability to review information at close range.

Responsibilities

• Manage Collections: Act as a collection agent for delinquent installment loan accounts, including charge-off activity and recoveries.
• Assist Clients: Contact customers with past-due accounts and provide financial counseling via phone, mail, and in-person visits as necessary.
• Develop Payment Plans: Work with customers to establish manageable repayment solutions.
• Assemble Charge-Off Files: Ensure thorough documentation and organization of charge-off activity.
• Ensure Compliance: Follow banking policies and industry standards in all collection efforts.
