Job summary

FTJ Retirement Advisors, a unit of Forrest T. Jones & Company, seeks a proactive advisor to recruit and grow assets under management while helping schools and businesses boost 403(b)/457(b)/401(k) participation.

You will meet with clients to discuss goals and develop financial plans, input communications into CRM, and work remotely from Northeast Missouri. Requirements include securities licenses (Series 6/7, 63, 65/66 or ability to obtain within 90 days), Life & Health licenses in MO/KS, and

Qualifications

• Series 6/7, 63, & 65/66 or able to obtain within first 90 days of employment.
• Missouri and/or Kansas Life and Health licenses.
• Prior work with mutual funds, annuities, and Life Insurance.
• Prior work with group benefit plans and 501(c)(3) organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit new and grow existing assets under management.
• Meet with prospects and existing clients to discuss financial goals and educate on investment options and risks.
• Meet with School Districts and businesses to improve 403(b)/457(b)/401(k) plan participation rates.
• Assess financial needs and help clients develop a financial plan.
• Memorialize and input prospect and client communications into CRM.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

FTJ Retirement Advisors provide advice with Investment and Insurance-related services to individual clients, employers and families. These services are delivered through an innovative financial planning approach that helps clients achieve their goals.

Forrest T. Jones & Company (FTJ) is a third -generation, family-owned business whose history stretches back more than 65 years. FTJ is an insurance agency, broker, and third-party administrator licensed in all U.S. states and the District of Columbia who today serves more than half million insured through its national, regional marketing and third-party administration activities.

Position Summary

Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with education institutions and companies to increase 403(b), and 457 and 401(k) retirement plan participation on behalf of FTJ Retirement Advisors. Work with employees, individuals and their families to prepare financially for retirement and various life events. Work location is remote, Northeast Missouri.

Primary Responsibilities

• Recruit new and grow existing assets under management.
• Meet with prospects and existing clients to discuss their financial goals, educate and answer questions about various investment options and potential risks.
• Meet with School Districts and businesses providing financial planning education designed to improve 403(b)/457(b)/401(k) plan participation rates.
• Assess the financial needs of individuals and assist them with developing a financial plan.
• Memorialize and input prospect and client communication into CRM
• Perform other related duties as assigned and required.

Competencies

• Ability to work independently and with a strong internal drive for achievement
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to make effective presentations to specific target groups
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Requisites

• Series 6 or 7, 63, & 65/66 or able to obtain within first 90 days of employment.
• Missouri and/or Kansas Life and Health licenses.
• Prior work experience in mutual funds, annuities, and Life Insurance.
• Prior work with group benefit plans and 501(c)(3) organizations preferred.
