Job description

A leading New York law firm is seeking a talented and motivated mid- to senior-level Associate with approximately 5-7 years of experience to join its financial services regulatory enforcement practice. The successful candidate will represent financial institutions, fintech companies and other regulated entities in government investigations, regulatory enforcement matters and related compliance issues, with the opportunity to work on complex and high-stakes matters involving federal and state financial services regulators.

The ideal candidate will have experience in regulatory enforcement, investigations, or related litigation, particularly matters involving financial services regulators or government enforcement agencies. Responsibilities will include responding to government inquiries, subpoenas and regulatory examinations, conducting internal investigations, drafting regulatory submissions and advocacy materials, advising clients on regulatory risk and supporting enforcement-related litigation. Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school and active state bar admission or eligibility for admission. Prior government experience is highly valued but not required.

This role offers substantial opportunities to work directly with experienced Partners, clients and regulators while taking ownership of key aspects of sophisticated enforcement matters. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical, research, writing and communication skills, strong judgment and the ability to translate complex regulatory issues into practical advice. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Attorney to develop expertise in financial services regulation and fintech while assuming increasing responsibility within a collaborative New York practice.
