Job summary

Capstone is seeking an Associate with an interest in financial services policy and financial markets. The role supports the development of differentiated investment ideas grounded in rigorous policy analysis for our client base, including capital market and private equity investors, with regular engagement across the U.S.

financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of relevant experience, strong analytical and writing skills, and a curiosity about the intersection

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred but not required.
• At least one year of relevant professional experience in consulting, investment banking, policy analysis, financial services, government, economic research, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with other analytical tools a plus.
• Exposure to the U.S. financial services sector preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, eligible to work without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on U.S. financial services policy, regulation, and markets.
• Support the development of differentiated, value-oriented investment ideas.
• Monitor and assess legislative, regulatory, and political developments and their implications for investors.
• Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for clients.
• Engage with policymakers, regulators, industry experts, and other stakeholders to gather information and perspectives.
• Contribute to client deliverables, presentations, and broader team research.
• Manage assigned workstreams independently while collaborating closely with senior team members.
• Develop expertise across key areas of the U.S. financial services sector.
