Job summary

Palmetto is seeking a Capital Markets Associate to support capital raising, execution, and modeling across tax equity, debt, and equity financings. This role is an individual contributor based in New York or Charlotte and will report to the Director, Capital Markets.

You will develop and run Excel financial models, coordinate with external banks and internal teams, and help drive reporting to finance stakeholders while improving processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; Master’s or MBA a plus.
• Proven experience in banking or capital markets, solar industry and structured finance preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to present to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt funding.
• Lead execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders.
• Report to Palmetto Finance to key financial stakeholders and drive automation of reports with tech teams.
• Improve processes and workflows for efficiency in collaboration with Data Analytics and Operations.
• Maintain relationships with banks and external partners; align with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting.
• Anticipate customer needs and provide tailored financial solutions.
