Job summary

Capstone seeks an Associate with an interest in financial services policy and financial markets to support the development of differentiated investment ideas grounded in rigorous policy analysis for our client base, which includes capital market and private equity investors. They will work closely with senior team members and regularly engage with policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and investors across the U.S.

financial services sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred but not required.
• At least one year of relevant professional experience in consulting, investment banking, policy analysis, financial services, government, economic research, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with other analytical tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on U.S. financial services policy, regulation, and markets.
• Support the development of differentiated, value-oriented investment ideas.
• Monitor and assess legislative, regulatory, and political developments and their implications for investors.
• Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for clients.
• Engage with policymakers, regulators, industry experts, and stakeholders to gather information and perspectives.
• Contribute to client deliverables, presentations, and team research.
• Manage assigned workstreams independently while collaborating with senior team members.
• Develop expertise across key areas of the U.S. financial services sector.
