Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex legal issues.

Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Financial Services Litigation Associate to join its Financial Services Practice Group in Miami. This position is ideal for a motivated attorney with at least two years of commercial and/or financial services litigation experience who is looking to build a long-term career within a collaborative and supportive team at one of the nation’s premier law firms.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a mix of financial services and commercial litigation, including commercial real estate and loan enforcement matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and other substantive litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues.
• Manage discovery, document production, and case deadlines.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Analyze loan documents, commercial agreements, and related materials in connection with financial disputes.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's national Financial Services Group while taking increasing ownership of matters and client responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of commercial litigation experience, preferably with a focus on financial services.
• Experience involving commercial real estate, loan enforcement, or financial services litigation.
• Experience with depositions and courtroom proceedings is a plus.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex legal and factual issues.
