Job summary

Oregon State Credit Union is seeking a Financial Services Consultant I to help members build a solid financial foundation. The role focuses on opening accounts, consulting on lending needs, and educating members on available products and services to fit their goals.

The position is full-time on-site, with a schedule Monday–Friday 8 am–6:15 pm and a compensation range of $21–$23 per hour, plus bonuses and incentives. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant customer service experience required with prior consulting, sales and cash handling experience highly preferred
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Positive attitude and proven ability to drive sales through excellent service
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; language pay differential for Spanish proficiency
• Demonstrates strong aptitude to problem solve independently using available resources
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time successfully

As a Financial Services Consultant I, you will play a crucial role in helping our members build and maintain a solid financial foundation. This includes opening new membership accounts, consulting with members on consumer lending needs and educating them on available products and services relevant to their situation, researching inquiries and ensuring follow-through to resolution, and handling basic transactions such as deposits and withdrawals. Our Financial Services Consultant role is heavily relationship-based with a strong focus on getting to know our members personally to better understand their needs and provide tailored financial solutions that are in their best interest. The ideal candidate has a strong consulting and customer service background, a collaborative spirit and is passionate about helping others achieve their goals.

What you will need to be successful:
