Latitude is seeking an experienced financial services attorney for a contract engagement supporting a respected Florida credit union. This fully remote role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic, solutions-oriented in-house legal team at one of Florida’s leading credit unions. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in the financial services sector, including drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements (such as loan participation and vendor contracts), and advising senior executives on regulatory issues and financial services law. This role will also involve working with financial services investment agreements, including those in the fintech space. This role requires strong interpersonal and advisory skills, as the attorney will work closely with credit union leadership and internal stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications for the Financial Services Attorney:

  • 5+ years of financial services regulatory and compliance experience
  • Extensive experience in financial services regulation, preferably within the banking or credit union sector
  • Strong experience handling commercial contracts in the financial services space
  • Experience with federal and state regulations and relevant regulatory bodies, including the NCUA, CFPB, and others
  • Experience with Florida financial services rules, regulations, and regulators is a plus
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • JD from an accredited law school and licensed and in good standing to practice law
  • Outstanding references

Position Details of the Financial Services Attorney:

  • Type of role: Contract
  • Schedule: Flexible (Part-time & Full-Time)
  • Location: Remote

Compensation:

Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 when calculated on a full-time basis.

Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).

Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
