Job description

Northwestern Mutual – Denver

Are you ready to join a thriving, innovative culture in a fast‑paced, professional environment? We seek a dynamic individual with keen attention to detail, a passion for quality improvement, and the ability to multitask and problem‑solve creatively.

About Us

We believe in a collaboration of talent working together to grow the business and create a valuable client experience. As one of our Integrated Financial Planning (IFP) team members, you will play a critical role within our organization in helping our financial representatives grow their financial services practice. We help financial advisors build practices that perform so they can focus on clients, not complexities. Culture is at the heart of the client experience, and you will help encourage, celebrate, and support our organization by fostering an enriching environment focused on providing a great experience for both internal and external clients.

The Role

Your ability to build lasting relationships and enhance the advisor and client experience is vital. As an IFP team member, you'll work with financial representatives to ensure efficient, productive, and profitable practices. You'll address advisors' operational needs, use innovative digital tools, and collaborate on team development to create a productive workspace. You will also help advisors with insurance and client onboarding, and execution of their business. This role provides opportunities to grow within the team as either a specialist or a lead.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with financial representatives to develop successful practices using proprietary software.
  • Lead operational improvement processes within an advisor’s practice.
  • Communicate with Home Office, representatives, and clients for policy approval.
  • Craft comprehensive financial plans tailored to client needs.
  • Manage insurance applications, paperwork, underwriting tracking, and client servicing.
  • Open investment accounts and manage documentation.
  • Execute investment trades efficiently.
  • Stay updated on investment regulations.
  • Process insurance applications using technology for signatures.
  • Input client data into planning software and CRM.
  • Confirm client appointments.
  • Attend weekly development and team meetings to advance industry mastery.
What You Will Bring
  • Strong collaborative skills within a goal‑oriented team.
  • Highly detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Resourcefulness and innovation in problem‑solving.
  • Adaptability to prioritize shifts in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with technology and a commitment to efficiency.
  • Competency in process and project management.
  • Teamwork skills, including leadership and execution.
  • Ability to handle confidential and time‑sensitive information.
What We Offer
  • Full‑time, 40‑hour work week, exempt position.
  • Competitive pay starting at $60,000 - $72,000 annually based on experience.
  • Paid‑for industry designations.
  • Profit share pool bonus.
  • PTO + Holiday time off + 2 floating holidays designed to give you the flexibility to take paid time off for occasions and events that are personally significant to you.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Long‑term and short‑term disability insurance.
  • Matching 401k plan.
  • Paid garage parking.
  • Remote work option of two days a week after 90‑days of employment.
  • Laptop provided.
  • Healthy break pantry and onsite workout facility access.
  • Specific pay structure.

We prioritize fairness and transparency, which is why we disclose the salary ranges. Final salaries are determined by several factors, including the candidate’s skills and experience, and current market. We are an equal opportunity employer, welcoming and encouraging diversity within our team. We are committed to fostering an environment in which each employee can contribute creative ideas, face challenges, assume leadership roles, and continue to meet and exceed both business and personal goals.
